What You'll Get
Being wined and dined is often a precursor to big requests, such as Can you finish this jug of wine for me? or Would you sign my petition to install a municipal wine fountain? Compromise just the right amount of judgment with this Groupon.
$45 for Two Tickets to Best of Oregon Food & Wine Festival (Up to $90 Value)
For this year’s festival, organizers have amassed local vintners and vittlesmiths for a celebration of the culinary arts that benefits the Oregon Food Bank. With locally sourced meats and produce in tow, Leslie Palmer of Thirst Bistro serves up her modern comfort food that borrows from recipes passed down from her grandmothers, and Pascal Chureau of Allium and Brasserie Montmartre blends European and American cuisine.
On the sippable side of the equation, wineries such as Willakenzie Estate, Archery Summit, and Capitello Wines supply a steady stream of pinots noir, gris, and blanc varietals. Oregon’s own vermouth-makers at imbue Bittersweet Vermouth will also be in attendance to top off more cocktails and martinis than the robotic bartender in James Bonds’ limousine.
The Best of Oregon Food & Wine Festival
Established in 2009, the Best of Oregon Food & Wine Festival supports the Beaver State’s thriving culinary industry every year with a lineup of local restaurateurs and vintners. The festival emphasizes the artisanal side of local cuisine, and every year proceeds benefit local charities that have included the Children’s Cancer Association, Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, and the Oregon Food Bank. Between bites and beverages, guests can catch live sets by local musicians, or bid on an exquisitely invisible mime box at the festival’s silent auction.
