Q:

I just got a reply to an original question about 3 being sufficient for the hair removal of an upper lip. It seems now to indicate the likelihood of needing six visits possibly. I get that, but would appreciate it if I could get the second series of 3 at the same price quote offered now via Goupon, but I might not be able to actually purchase those additional treatments right now. Can I have some assurance I can still do that in the event it comes out that way? thanks

A:

This is Matt from Groupon, Oregon Medical Group will not be able to match the same price after the feature. However, if you purchase the 3 additional treatments, and find that you do not need them, then Groupon will refund the treatments to you. You can me directly at 541-790-1375 if you need additional help, or have any questions. I am the local rep for the Eugene area.

Q:

want to have the rather abundant growth of moustache hair on her upper lip removed. she bleaches it for the most part. will these three visits be sufficient do you think to accomplish this? Hew Berrien

Hewitt B.  asked on  Jun 4, 2012

A:

Three visits should be sufficient, but it varies by individual.

A:

After some additional consulting, we want to make it clear that results do vary by individual. It could take up to 6 visits to accomplish this task. Sorry to change our initial answer, we just want to make sure that you are aware that results vary by individual. You may need to purchase another set of three.

Q:

I'm a male and have a neckbeard that's about 1 1/2 - 2 inches below my neckline. It grows pretty full. Will this be an issue for more than two medium sessions? And, do the sessions all have to be used before Dec 5, or just scheduled before then?

george p.  asked on  Jun 5, 2012

A:

People's rate of hair growth is very indivudual, this would be best answered during a free consultation. We have extended the expiration date to Dec 31.

Q:

Do all of the visits need to be completed by the expiration date or just scheduled? I ask because I am interested in buying 2 sets and worried about the time frame. Thanks.

amanda c.  asked on  Jun 5, 2012

A:

Yes, the treatment needs to be completed by the expiration date, which should not be a problem. If the hair growth rate is not rapid, consideration to extend treatment is an option.

Q:

Ann M.  asked on  Jun 6, 2012

Q:

Does the individual getting the treatments have to be over 18? My daughter is interested in buying these, but she is only 17.

JA W.  asked on  Jun 6, 2012

A:

The patient can be under the age of 18 to have treatement, however, the consent form would need to be completed and signed by a parent or guardian.

Q:

I understand that back hair is a large area. I would say I have a medium amount. Will 3 treatments take care of it? I have heard that sometimes it takes many more. But I'm assuming that's for thick hair. I'm sure you'll say it varies by individual. So...what about a free consultation first before purchasing this, to get your thoughts on number of treatments? Thanks.

Scott P.  asked on  Jun 5, 2012

A:

Thank you for your inquiry. The back is considered a large area, so a large package would be necessary. Also, the recommended number of treatments as hair growth varies, is 3-6 treatments. Yes, our initial consultation is free and a good opportunity to answer further questions.

Q:

One other question; and this needs an answer, please. My wife has seen increased hair growth in various locations of her body following use of oral steroid medication. Only in the past month, as spring arrives, she is showing sensitivity to sunlight, in that if exposed the back of her neck, hands and arms will redden, then subside once indoors a short time later. Will this preclude her receiving laser hair removal on her lip area?

Hewitt B.  asked on  Jun 4, 2012

A:

I believe we spoke on the phone, and I am again thinking a test patch is a very good idea and if its getting too red or a little rashy, we can refund your money no worries, but I feel pretty confident about this being o.k.

Q:

I would like to get my sideburn hair removed down to my jawline on both sides of my face. Is this a medium area? Can I get six treatments in the same area with the "limit 2"? How far apart do the visits need to be scheduled and can they be scheduled all at once? Thank you.

amanda c.  asked on  Jun 4, 2012

A:

Hi, sideburns down to jawline is yes, a medium. You can definately buy two for one person, and get the full six treatents and on this area the hairs tend to react well, so that should do well. The visits are usually about every 6 weeks but they do have to be done every six weeks or maybe once a month since they are done when the hairs start to grow back in. The hairs are treated, fall out, there is a period where the follicles are dormant and then when they start to grow again about six weeks later we zap them again.

Q:

I noticed for one medium area is states "underarm", not "underarms". Does this mean that each treatment does only one underarm and not both?

Ann M.  asked on  Jun 4, 2012

A:

No, you don't have to buy one of those asymmetrical shirts, that are kind of in I think :). Underarms means both sides.
