Before the blender, the only way to make a smoothie was to either do a head spin in a fruit hat or haul a recently cleaned vacuum cleaner to a local Gallagher performance. Embrace well-blended brilliance with today's Groupon: for $7, you get two 16-ounce smoothies at Organic Energy Restaurant and Power Juice Cafe in Solon.

The blenders at Organic Energy Restaurant and Power Juice Cafe puree produce to create a menu of powerful straw-delivered concoctions. The Antioxidant melds the purifying prowess of pomegranate, blueberry, and banana to create a refreshing drink and prevent the production of free radicals. Patrons can also make mornings brighter with the Rise & Shine, a smoothie infused with grapefruit, orange, strawberry, and three measures of a rooster's cackle. The protein in peanut butter, joined by a chorus of apple and banana, shores up hip-shaking in the Elvis, while the Apple Pie recalls sweet memories of apple, cinnamon, and ginger without the hassle of petitioning for a second Thanksgiving in June.

I really love the concept of providing fresh, nutritious, organic (whenever possible) meals at affordable prices. I especially appreciate the cafe's willingness to provide so many vegan options straight up on the menu, as well as by making substitutions to the smoothies, for example. I will definitely be back! One question I have is why you chose to use BlendTek blenders instead of Vitamix, whose headquarters are here in Cleveland -- why not support the local (and internationally acclaimed) company instead of its competitor?
