As humans, we need seven to nine servings of fresh fruits and vegetables every day. But for most Americans, that number is rarely reached. That's why the chefs at Organic Festival decided to incorporate organic, farmers' market produce into every dish they make. This use of produce can be obvious with dishes like the antioxidant salad, which comes stocked with five vegetables, six fruits, and a range of herbs, nuts, and cheeses. But the chefs can also be sneaky, with stews and sandwich sauces containing hearty portions of cooked leafy greens.
But it's not only the use of organic produce that makes the shop's dishes healthy. Chefs also bake bread daily from seven whole grains, and can tinker with dishes to accommodate vegetarian and vegan needs. The staff can even provide food for littles ones of all ages, with healthy pizzas for kids and the option to turn any dish into an easily digestible purée for babies or lazy adults.
