Called the "Latin Beatles" by the Los Angeles Times, Los Pinguos formed in the culturally vivacious city of Buenos Aires, where they developed their high-energy live shows and irresistible sound, which fuses Latin rhythms with Spanish guitars, electric bass and sweetly harmonizing vocals. The Kanbar Performing Arts Center brings the infectious combination to the Hoytt Theater to help you shake off those winter blues with a fun dance night, kicking off with a Latin dance lesson before the concert. Incorporating everything from reggae and rumba to flamenco and rock, Los Pinguos could be described as a mixture of Manu Chao's energy and electrical live performance with the skill and rhythm of the Gipsy Kings. El Huarache Loco will be serving food for an additional purchase and there will be a no-host bar available.
