Born in Calabria, Italy, Chef Carmine Marzano developed an interest in cooking early on by learning from his father. His daughter, Elena Pouchelon, grew up with a passion for the business and entertainment side of the industry. And today, father and daughter work together to run their modern Italian eatery, Osteria Marzano. Chef Carmine cooks up everything from veal chops to seafood pasta, while Elena manages the day-to-day operations and special events.
Visitors can relax at the 40-seat, granite bar while sharing bites of truffled ravioli and sipping craft cocktails or any number of wines. The open and inviting dining room hosts lunch and dinner guests, who dig into handmade pastas, thin-crust pizzas topped with veggies and seafood, and braised short ribs. Tiramisu and affogato al caffe—Illy espresso poured over vanilla gelato—end meals on a sweet note.
