Ottawa Academy Of Martial Arts honours the traditions of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu through classes for all ages and levels. Instructors instill the importance of respect while teaching students how to kick, punch, and sweet-talk their way out of dangerous situations. Additionally, Muay Thai kickboxing classes teach students how to effectively block blows from an opponent. The school also celebrates the Russian Kettlebell—a cast iron weight that looks like a cannonball with a handle—and devotes an entire class to swinging it to achieve higher levels of fitness and respect in the pirate underworld.
