Otto's of New York, A Wine & Burger Bar
At Otto's of New York, burgers are king and wine is queen. It's just like a traditional monarchy, except that the rulers are considered delicious—and rightly so. Thanks to the restaurant's connection to Ottomanelli Brothers (and therefore a butchery tradition dating back to 1900), every burger patty is ground fresh daily. Once the patty is placed on a toasted brioche bun, the possibilities seem endless. The build-your-own sirloin burger, for instance, comes crowned in delicacies such as crispy onion, bacon, and jalapeño.
Burgers made from turkey and portobello mushroom complement the red-meat incarnations, as do pasta, baked or sautéed fish, and, of course, wine. Diners can enhance their meals with glasses of red, a classy upgrade from the typical mug of ketchup.
