The Pacific Northwest Ballet gets its 2015-2016 season off to a high-flying start with See the Music, a trio of visually-striking pieces from three of America’s most acclaimed choreographers, and as always, accompanied by a live orchestra. Tide Harmonic comes courtesy of Christopher Wheeldon, fresh off his 2015 Tony Award for the revival of An American in Paris. Another legendary Broadway talent, Jerome Robbins, created The Concert (or The Perils of Everybody), set to the music of Chopin, for the New York City Ballet. Also on tap is George Balanchine’s The Prodigal Son, with its dramatic score by Prokofiev, and coincidentally, danced by Jerome Robbins in its 1950 NYCB premiere.
