When husband and wife Sarah and Chris moved from Australia to Portland, Chris found himself homesick for meat pies. Naturally Sarah started baking them—and they were good enough to sell at local farmers markets. Ultimately, they became the foundation of Pacific Pie Company's brick and mortar restaurant.
Pacific Pie Company has since caught national attention, with both Food Network and Los Angeles Times lauding its signature beef and stout pie. But there's a lot more to this place than beef, stout, and Yukon gold potatoes. In-season ingredients inspire weekly specials, while always-on-the-menu favorites treat diners to the likes of pulled pork pasties or vegan lentil and veggie shepherd's pie.
Of course, it wouldn't be much of a pie company without a few sweet varieties on the menu. Pacific Pie Company changes its selection of these dessert pies monthly. All that's missing to accompany a slice is one of their specialty cocktails.
