For school-age children, educational programming that promotes responsible pet care and a respectful relationship with animals can help foster compassion, animal-safety skills, and a connection with other living things. By organizing educational programs, encouraging animal adoptions, and helping supply local animal shelters, PACT for Animals (or People/Animals=Companions Together) works to enrich the lives of humans and their companion animals.
PACT's educational programs aim to empower school-age children to maintain kind and compassionate relationships with animals. Students meet and interact with trained and socialized pets in order to learn best how to show respect for animals, practice safety around animals, and engage in responsible pet care. Through its programs, PACT hopes to instill in children a sense of connection and empathy with not only animals, but with fellow humans and the earth as well. In addition to the organization's work with children and local shelters, PACT's animal-rescue efforts strive to save animals in danger of euthanasia, supplying them with adequate vet care, training, and an opportunity for adoption.
Join G-Team and donate $10 to help PACT for Animals teach children about the humane treatment of animals. If G-Team members raise $400, PACT for Animals will be able to offer one free educational program that will reach more than 200 children. Each additional $100 raised will enable PACT to rescue and provide vet care for a dog or cat in danger of euthanasia. Metropolitan Management Communities will provide up to $400 in matching funds.
Unlike traditional Groupon deals, G-Team campaigns typically don't offer you a "discount" or "savings." So "buyer" beware—when you click "Buy" to donate your time or money to a worthwhile G-Team cause, the only discount you may receive is 100% off free, priceless karma. Read more about G-Team.
All donations will be matched up to $400 by Metropolitan Management Communities.
