What You'll Get

Years of hand-rolling custom balls of paint from the succulent saps of the neighborhood paintwood tree are about to pay off. With today’s Groupon, $22 gets you all-day entry, equipment, unlimited air, and 500 paintballs at Paintball Central's park in Rock Hill, South Carolina. This is your chance to employ your knowledge of the subtle viscosity and geometric sphereitude of a ripe paintball as you barrage your friends from safe cover.
Invented by a frustrated and overworked Jackson Pollock, paintball is a safe, friendly alternative to semi-deadly projectile games like Blowgun Russian Roulette and William Tell. Paintball Central's Rock Hill park encourages all-out charging attacks as well as strategic hiding and sneaking about. Your adventure through the realms of color, velocity, and splatter radius is protected by protective goggles and armed with a Tippman 98 paintball blaster. No matter what your level of experience, your supply of 500 paintballs is sure to provide you with an education in artistic self-defense as you decorate the world and your friends in gushes of symphonic hues.
Bring dark, baggy clothing and comfortable running shoes to optimize your battle experience in a safe and referee-controlled environment not unlike the battlefields on ancient Greece, which were supervised by mythological gods in sporty black-and-white striped chitons. You will re-learn the values of teamwork that have long been lost amid the ancient ruins of middle-school capture the flag, and you’ll get the chance to artfully redecorate your friends and enemies. Paintball Central is open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sundays from noon until 5 p.m., so your weekend painting project can now take an interesting twist.
Good for Rock Hill location only.
- I think that this is one of the best fields I have played at...The refs are great, they maintain a laid back atmosphere, while still enforcing safety rules. The proshop has very little in it, outside of paint. The players there are all good guys, and the place is very nice. They have woodsball, mounds, 1 Spyder airball field, and 1 Xball field. I played ten games, and I was only there for 3 hours. they [sic] turn games around very fast. It was great. – BigMan23, pbreview.com
- ...the staff is great. They go over everything with you before they set you loose. If youre [sic] looking for something to do with a group of friends this is it. – Angela G., Insider Pages

About Paintball Central
Silence fills the forest as a masked paintball player creeps over logs and leaves, unable to find the opposing team he knows is there. Suddenly, a shower of colored paint spews from behind a nearby tree, and the battle begins. Such moments unfold daily at PBC Paintball Park's facilities during the regular season. Their staff, all of whom are paintball players themselves, have designed both wooded and concept fields at Greensboro, Charlotte, and Greenville. At Greensboro, wooded landscapes transform into a battlefield with bunkers, creeks, and large forts. Felled trees and dense foliage give players ample cover amid the undeveloped woods of Greenville's fields, while castles, mounds, cities, and tournaments unfold across PBC Charlotte's level terrain. Additionally, PBC Paintball Parks are affiliated with Paintball Central, which runs two stores in North Carolina and one store in South Carolina where players can stock up on enough paintball gear to ready themselves for the inevitable cartoon-character rebellion.
