What You'll Get

Video footage preserves family moments that might otherwise be forgotten, like the day Grandpa wiped everyone's memory with a spy drug. Bring precious records to the digital age with today's Groupon to Palmer Studio. Choose between the following options:

  • For $20, you get two VHS or Mini DV Tape-to-DVD transfers (a $40 value).
  • For $99, you get $200 worth of photograph-restoration services.

Open since 1958, Palmer Studio captures fresh photographic memories while rejuvenating faded images and upgrading outdated media. The studio’s digital wizards carefully extract the sweet meat inside VHS tapes or Mini DV Tapes, transferring precious recordings onto DVD, CD, or into a reserved, velvet-roped online gallery. Old and damaged photos, meanwhile, are carefully handled while being restored to their former glory, allowing subsequent generations to view Grandpa’s expression of triumph after jumping the Mississippi River in a Model A.

About Palmer Studio

Palmer Studio has been in business for more than half a century, but its history goes back further than that. Now helmed by Denis Palmer, the idea for the business dates back to the 1940s, when his father would photograph friends and relatives from Denis’s father's home. Since the storefront first opened in 1958, the business has been passed from father to son, keeping alive a family tradition of evocative family portraiture and wedding photography.
