What You'll Get
Popular with aspiring singers and disgruntled mimes alike, karaoke brings all the fun of being a pop star minus the poorly chosen movie projects and painful paparazzi bites. Sing enthusiastically, if nothing else, with today's Groupon: for $25, you get $50 worth of bar fare, drinks, and karaoke at Pandora Karaoke & Bar, located minutes from Union Square in the Civic Center district. This Groupon is also valid as credit toward a private room rental and bottle service.
Pandora Karaoke & Bar fuses together an American-style karaoke lounge and Asian-style private rooms inside a cleanly appointed, coolly lit modern space. The lounge is open to all, and any brave soul is free to unleash their voice on more than 100,000 songs or simply hang back and cheer on each Tuvan throat-singing interpretation of "Total Eclipse of the Heart." The 15 private rooms can accommodate stage-shy parties, with themes ranging from the Hennessey Room to the contemporary Harmonics Room, designed by architect Alan Tse. Each suite is equipped with at least one 50" HDTV, a bumping sound system, special lighting effects, and a touch-screen karaoke system with a constantly growing library. Songs are available in many languages besides English, including Cantonese, Mandarin, Indian, and several obscure dialects of Sindarin Elvish. All microphones are wireless, so singers are free to augment their performance with any variety of dance moves, random gyrations, and tai-chi stances.
Throughout the night, keep your singing pipes greased and lubricated with Pandora's menu of popular bar snacks such as fried calamari with fries ($8) and buffalo wings ($6). Beer starts at $5 a bottle, or $25 for a bucket of six. Private rooms and bottle service are available for parties of up to 40, with rates beginning at $50/hour, depending on the room. Though the young at heart are welcome at Pandora, the lounge is strictly 21+ after 10 p.m.

About Pandora Karaoke & Bar
Asian and American karaoke styles join forces at Pandora Karaoke & Bar, whose moodily lit space hosts both an open stage for crowd-friendly crooners and 15 private rooms for groups. In either setting, singers scroll through Super Master touch-screen karaoke systems to choose from more than 100,000 songs in languages including English, Mandarin Chinese, and Frank Sinatra’s native pig Latin. Wireless microphones then capture crooning voices as lyrics scroll across 50-inch plasma TVs, serenading spectators as they munch sushi and Asian-fusion fare from the menu. Inside private rooms, colorful cushioned banquettes host groups of up to 40 harmonizers beneath themed decorations such as brewery logos or a rebus representing the complete lyrics to “Eye of the Tiger.”
