Paradise Biryani Pointe
Though Raj Gowlikar has spent years sharing his traditional Indian biryani dishes in dozens of his Paradise Biryani Pointe restaurants across the country, the Lexington Avenue outpost is his first foray into the Manhattan dining scene. According to Forbes, Raj used to spend hours in a New Jersey warehouse hand-mixing biryani spices for distribution to all of his restaurants; guests here can expect the same consistency of flavor, whether they're ordering biryani with chicken, egg, veggies, shrimp, or goat. And while biryani is the vast majority of what's ordered here, the full menu also includes kebabs, curries, tandoor-style entrees such as chicken tikka masala, and drinks, because sometimes people get thirsty.
