What You'll Get
Bowling shoes aren’t just fashionable—they provide the added two inches of height needed to load your ball into a regulation-size trebuchet. Lace up and reach for a spherical pin puncher with today’s Groupon: for $25, you get two hours of duckpin bowling lane time and shoe rentals for up to four people at Parkville Lanes (up to a $50 value).
Parkville Lanes delights ball hurlers with tenpin bowling's smaller cousin, duckpin bowling, which features smaller balls and pins that retain tenpin bowling's distinctive patterns. Duckpin bowling presents a unique challenge for discriminating indoor sports enthusiasts, as a perfect game in the sport has not been recorded since the first scribe etched his initials onto a scoring screen. While adults can enjoy a spike in competitive spirit, the lighter balls are easier to manage for children and telekinetics still honing their psychic throwing arms. A two-hour lane rental allows enough time for four people to play about 10 games. Four-person lane rentals are valid Monday–Friday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Friday nights from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
Rock 'n' Bowl admission treats customers to the aural stylings of DJ The Zip Man as they enjoy the tireless joys of unlimited bowling. Rock 'n' Bowl's alluring mélange of bowling and beats is served up every Friday and Saturday from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., when pins turn back into confused, frightened waterfowl. Call ahead to make a reservation.

About Parkville Lanes
Twin brothers and Parkville Lanes co-owners Edward and Brian Foreman have given sphere slingers a home for classic duckpin-style bowling since 1986 with 26 gleaming lanes. While the rules of duckpin bowling are similar to those of the traditional 10-pin game, bowlers play duckpin with softball-size bowling balls that lack treacherous finger traps, which they hurl at shorter, squatter pins with three throws per turn. Between turns, patrons can refresh at the snack bar, where steaming slices of pizza are chased with sips of brews and wine. Perfect for family-fun nights and dates with retired wrecking balls, Parkville Lanes can also accommodate larger parties for birthdays, wedding receptions, bowling leagues, and weekly and weekend lane rentals.
