About Parrots of the Caribbean

Parrots of the Caribbean's amphibious vessels ferry passengers across a coastal stretch of land and sea during 90-minute tours. The voyage unfolds with a drive along the scenic sandscapes of the Madeira, Treasure Island, and St. Pete Beaches, as a guide entertains guests with historical tidbits about local geography, throws out trivia questions, and snaps photos of passengers hugging Florida's largest grain of sand. The captain then aims the Coast Guard–approved trolley boat sea-ward and buoys the passengers out into Boca Ciega Bay, where seafarers can spot marine birds, fish, the occasional pod of dolphins, and a gaggle of water-skiing mermaids.
