So enamored was King Louis XV with Antonio Vivaldi's The Four Seasons, that he'd spontaneously order his court musicians to break out into the "Spring" concerto. Non-monarchs may find it a bit more difficult to hear this stunning, timeless piece live, but now you can hear conductor David Lockington lead the Pasadena Symphony through this masterwork. They'll be joined by a special guest, violinist Anne Akiko Meyers, whose 2014 release of The Four Seasons helped make her Billboard's Top Selling Classical Instrumentalist of the year. This all-baroque show at the Ambassador Auditorium will also feature Pachelbel's Canon, Bach's Air on the G String, and works by Purcell and Dorman.
