Until their proper display in museums, the paintings of most Renaissance masters languished for centuries on the magnet-flecked fridges of their proud mothers. Preserve your art for future generations and houseguests with today's Groupon: for $45, you get $110 worth of framing services or art at Paul Mahder Gallery in Presidio Heights.
Paul Mahder Gallery provides picture-preserving services alongside eye-catching artwork displays from an echelon of acclaimed artists. Armed with more than 12 years of experience, the professional portrait protectors will guide patrons through the process, which includes design consultation with pickup, delivery, and installation available. Guardians can then clothe naked illustrations for legal public display with frame styles such as genuine gold leaf, acrylic, leather wrapped, welded steel, and natural hardwood frames in domestic and exotic woods. Paul Mahder Gallery also cloaks oblong objects and squiggly sculptures with specialty frames and safeguards and preserves precious pieces in conservation frames. A typical 8"x10" frame typically runs $105, with prices rising as the objects to be framed get larger or hire skilled agents.
While visiting for a consultation, guests can take time to examine the intimate exhibition venue, where high-vaulted ceilings provide a bounce board for incredulous exclamations. The visual feast features a buffet of accomplished artists, including the works of Paul Mahder himself,
- The prices were very reasonable, especially for custom framing. They can handle the really difficult custom work as well. They had a fantastic selection, probably the largest I’ve seen. – Scheusner, Citysearch
- They framed an art piece for me couple years ago, and since then that's my chosen place to go for all framing jobs, and friends have commented on my enhanced presentations. – lavender f., Yelp, 12/30/10
