When most people think of a po’boy sandwich, they think of New Orleans. The Lebanese family behind Paulie’s Poboys, however, wanted to redefine this meaning for Houston locals and come to symbolize what an authentic po’boy sandwich means for patrons of their family-owned sandwich shop. Guests dine atop hand-made tables and barrels to enjoy the fresh, authentic ingredients of the original family po’boy recipe straight from the kitchen it was created in years ago. The family roots resonate throughout the restaurant’s menu as well, as a selection of classic Middle Eastern favorites is offered each day, including hommos, baba ghanoush, tabouli, gyro, baklava, and greek salad.
