Paulo’s Atelier
Having made his way from the sandy beaches of Brazil to the urban jungle of New York more than 15 years ago, hairstylist Paulo Gregorio has worked his way through the beauty world to become a master colorist. He's also worked for L’Oreal International and continued to grow his clientele through a number of stints at upscale salons. Eventually, his hairstyling experience led him to found Paulo’s Atelier, a beauty haven that was not only crowned Best of Westchester 2008 by Westchester Magazine, but also earned the magazine’s Editor’s Pick for Best Colorist 2008. Now, Gregorio resides over a staff of more than 20 stylists, nail technicians and makeup artists at his European-inspired salon, which is marked by contemporary shapes and pops of bold colors.
Each beautician lives up to the latter half of the salon’s name (an atelier is an artist’s workshop) as they practice their craft on men, women, and children. A Baliage hair coloring treatment subtly lightens locks, and four types of straightening treatments, such as Brazilian blowouts and thermal Japanese straightening, chase frizz from follicles. Manicures and pedicures also refresh clients by covering nails with a chip-free UV gel, elegant silk wraps, or acrylic tips that can withstand the stress of scratching a pickup truck's back.

About Paulo’s Atelier
An artist’s atelier is their workshop. The studio. The inner sanctum where creativity happens. A private place where imagination runs free. Where inspiration drives experimentation, inventiveness, fantasy. One can only imagine what kind of spontaneous excitement and energy occurs between the artist and the brush and the canvas. Between the artist and a piece of clay or stone or marble. For most of us, we can only see the art as a finished product. We are not witness to the process. But fortunately, this is not true of every atelier. There is one where the public is very welcome to take a look. And not only to take a look. But to be a part of art in the moment. That particular atelier? Paulo’s Atelier Hair Salon. Having made his way from the sandy beaches of Brazil to the urban jungle of New York some time ago, Paulo Gregorio has worked his way through the beauty world to become a master colorist. He's also worked for Goldwell continued to grow his clientele through a number of stints at upscale salons. Eventually, his hairstyling experience led him to open his own salon. Paulo resides over at his European-inspired salon in Mount Kisco, which is designed with modern shapes and bold colors.
