Cooking food over an open flame can impart smoky flavor and seal in savory juices, but cooking food over an eternal flame can get a bobsledding team kicked out of the Olympics. Get your fill of flame-cooked fare with today's Groupon: for $20, you get $40 worth of American fare and drinks at PayZins Restaurant & Bar in Coral Springs.
PayZins Restaurant & Bar's chefs make extensive lunch and dinner menus come to life in the form of burgers, sandwiches, and entrees. The lunch menu entrees (most are two for $15) include such classics as the turkey club, bundled with applewood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, and pesto mayonnaise, and the half-pound Angus mushroom and swiss burger. Come dinnertime, entrees (mostly two for $35) can be led into the culinary boxing ring by a plate of breaded and fried half-moon provolone ($7.95). The main event pits a filet of coconut milk–baked tilapia encrusted with macadamia nuts against both a bowl of bruschetta pasta with chicken, fresh roma tomatoes, mozzarella, garlic, basil, and a balsamic glaze and the 10-ounce prime rib, which is slow-roasted for seven hours over a lava flow.
PayZins' upscale and casual dining areas cater to both elegant and easygoing epicureans. On the classier side of the restaurant, candle-lit tables wear white linens and surround themselves by art-adorned walls. The lounge section melts away stress with hedonistic leather chairs, a full bar, and widescreen TVs that air shows with deep-voiced narrators talking about massage.
