Q:

Is there an issue with diving and someone with type 1 diabetes? I have a 16 year old son, a very good swimmer, but he has type 1. I don't know if the pressure or anything like that affects his blood glucose levels. Do you know anyone that dives with this condition?

Deborah R.  asked on  Nov 3, 2012

A:

Hi, People dive with type I diabetes. Ultimately, it will be up to his doctor. Thanks, Brett
