Tennis rackets were originally made of wood, which wasn’t ideal, since tennis balls were originally made of fire. Feel the heat of competition with this Groupon.

Peachtree City Tennis Center
On any day of the week, the 24 courts at Peachtree Tennis Center echo with the “thwok!” of bouncing tennis balls. Atop one of the dozen hard courts, two friends might be trading aces during a pickup game. Meanwhile, across one of the six covered courts, students could be moving back and forth under the direction of an instructor who has played the sport for decades. Such versatility enables the center to open their tennis-related services and programs to children, high school athletes, and adults. Even off the court, improvements are made at an on-site pro shop, which houses equipment, apparel, and a stringing department for tennis rackets and violins mistakenly used as tennis rackets.
