Trainer Jason Grantham wields 12 years of personal-training experience when leading Peak Physiques' intense 50-minute boot-camp sessions, which mix core-strengthening calisthenics with suspension-band workouts and other body-toning techniques. After a 10-minute warm-up limbers stiff muscles, a 30-minute sweat session works them until they pant individually, and then 10 minutes of extreme ab exercises work to whittle lean core muscles. Strength and cardio-focused workouts use tires and heavy “battling ropes,” which recall old-school workout regimens such as hoop rolling and dialing giant rotary phones. Participants at all fitness levels can work out in any session on Peak Physiques' schedule, each of which is limited to 30 exercisers. Clients interested in continuing chiseled pursuits after five boot-camp classes can enlist in the studio's varied fitness curriculum, which also includes Zumba and Pilates.
