Certified instructors lead 25 group fitness classes per week. In spinning classes, students mount a fleet of exercise cycles, pedaling with dozens of others in a stationary stampede toward the setting sun, which shines in through the studio’s floor-to-ceiling windows. TRX suspension training recruits every muscle in the body into a coordinated system as patrons strain to move weight via suspension harnesses. Mirrored classrooms help students perfect their postures with visual feedback during mat-work sessions of yoga.


Co-owner and chief fitness strategist Raymond Wallace's passion lies in designing high-intensity fitness curriculums and training patrons of all fitness levels to increase their muscle mass and annihilate fat at PEDAL NYC. Raymond himself has trained Harry Connick Jr., and fellow trainer Ary Nunez has worked with Rihanna and Alicia Keys. Triathletes and former NCAA Division I athletes round out the rest of the staff. The gym—named for Raymond's cycling expertise—incorporates classes from many other disciplines of exercise, including TRX suspension training, and YoStretch, for a total of over 30 classes per week. Within the always-buzzing facility, purple-painted cinderblocks peek from above the full-length mirrors that span every room, contrasting with the fiery orange sunlight that streams through floor-to-ceiling windows. Rows upon rows of indoor bicycles whirr beneath riders, who draw motivation from upbeat music, the instructors' infectious enthusiasm, or imagining pedaling away from a monstrous fanged cupcake.
