What You'll Get
Horses were once considered man’s best friend, but after the invention of the dog, the horse was rebranded as man’s eccentric, oat-obsessed uncle. Take a journey with the kindest of kinsmen with today's Groupon: for $25, you get a private customized one-hour horseback-riding and horse-care lesson at Pegasus Riding School in Medina (a $50 value). Today’s deal also gets you 25% off additional lessons booked at the time of Groupon redemption. Pegasus Riding School has a limited number of horses and time for lessons, so Groupon users must call ahead for an appointment.
Trained horses and three expert instructors welcome adult and child riders aged 5 and older of all experience levels to Pegasus Riding School’s well-manicured 10-acre compound. With a one-hour lesson, each rider spends 45 minutes perched atop nature’s closest approximation of a car, learning and moving at his or her own pace. Wintertime jaunts are made possible by a 10,000-square-foot indoor training structure pumped full of heat and expertise. Kids can even sit on someone their own size by opting for a ride on one the school’s trained ponies. Equine apprentices supplement their riding by learning the basics of grooming, handling, and horse behavior, as well as how to saddle a horse without upsetting its chiropractor.
