Hello. Our classes are coed and we do have a couple of male instructors that teach the mat classes. In regard to the classes being appropriate for you while pregnant- it depends on where your current fitness level is and physician clearance. Q:

I have a lower back problem - very little disc left at L4-L5 with some instability at L4 when leaning forward. Can you help me strengthen my core muscles without irritating my back problem?

Brigitte B.  asked on  Jul 30, 2012

A:

Hello Brigitte, First we would need to make sure that you have clearance from your doctor before you participate in class. Back problems are very individual and delicate in nature, so we would also want to speak with you privately to make sure the class would be appropriate for you. Please feel free to email or call us to discuss. (513) 478-3232 or info@pendletonpilates.com.

Hello Emily, No, you do not need to do the initial consultation before participating in the mat and ball classes. The initial consultation is only required for individuals wishing to participate in the group reformer classes.
