Knows his foods and how to cook them. Bit chaotic in the first few minutes of cooking but settled in to a nice process for cooking a lot of food in a relatively short time. Very enjoyable and interesting.

We had a wonderful experience with this class. Very different than what I went in expecting, not only learned about indian cooking but how to cook food properly in general. It was also great to meet new people and work alongside them in preparing various recipes. The food at the end was well worth it !

I just attended the introduction to Indian Cooking class and was not disappointed! Chef Russell keeps it straight and made it a super fun and thoroughly enjoyable (and challenging) 3 hours! This class is fantastic. Chefs knowledge which he passes on in spades is second to none! This class is all about teamwork and you won't be disappointed! Thanks Chef Russell for an amazing experience. The dishes where delicious, however we did not realize that they are prepared by the group as a team as opposed to each couple/individual making their own dish according to their liking (heat level, cilantro etc.). Personally I also did not like the fact that we had to wash all the dishes, pots and pans, and sweep the floor at the end of the cooking. The kitchen itself looked a bit run down and some of the tools were broken. For the price we paid I expected a bit more. If you are not familiar with cooking or Indian cuisine it's a good learning class. If you are a seasoned cook, you can enjoy the different experience and get a few new recipes.
