Thanks for answering the first two questions. However, I think you misunderstood the last part. I have a 2005 Toyota Avalon Limited with Navigation. It came equipped with a push start feature and remote engine start. The alarm/remote start system installed is factory (Brand: VIP) that Toyota uses on almost all their vehicles. The system also has automatic cutoff (after 5 or so mins of the car running after being started remotely) to conserve gas, it shuts the car down if a door is unlocked and also has an engine immobilizer (if car is out of range of key-fob it shuts the car down) since it's key-less (push start). The only thing I am not happy with is the factory remote start because it has very poor range (about 10ft) and also shuts off the car as soon as I unlock it. Would you be able to replace the remote start module with yours? Would there be additional cost for disabling the existing remote start system?
