We love the Phelps Creek Wines but this coupon was a bust. They didn't haveany glasses that were part of the package and the guy running the tasting room seemed very annoyed with the whole thing.

The wine is great. The tasting room is on the Fruit Loop map so can be part of circling the Hood River valley, stopping for produce, visting a glass blower, having great views of Mt Hood and Mt Adams, riding the old train that was used to move fruit from the orchards to the river, tasting at the many tasting rooms and then having good food in Hood River.

Phelps Creek is a favorite. Love the wine, location and the knowledgeable wine bar staff. Bob Morrus has things well in hand. Sliante mhath! We did not care for the wine "glasses", but will enjoy our choices of bottles of wine.

About Phelps Creek Vineyards

Atop 30 acres of complex volcanic soils, Robert Morus tends his collection of chardonnay and pinot noir grapes planted against a backdrop of towering, snow-capped mountains. Embracing the labor-intensive process necessary to harvest flavorful grapes, Morus and his staff allow vines to only grow a single grape cluster per shoot. This technique gives each fruity morsel an intense flavor character and prevents grapes from getting overcrowded, jumping off the vine, and joining a troupe of singing raisins. First planted in 1989, the plots now fill sustainably-tended vineyards where visitors can come to learn more about the wine-making process during tours, wine tastings, and other events.
