Pho—a Vietnamese noodle soup brimming with flavorful broth and basil leaves—is a house specialty at Pho Ethan. But beyond this deeply comforting soup, there are an array of dishes to explore, including simmering hot pots, fried rice, and barbecue platters that diners can sear to perfection on their own tabletop grills. "People come back just for the grill,” owner Khoa Nguyen told the Record-Journal. There's plenty for vegetarians to nosh on, too, such as tofu spring rolls and lemongrass "chicken" stir-fry made without a trace of animal products or animal cookies. Food can be paired with avocado smoothies, soy milk, and sweet passion boba tea, and apple cake helps finish meals on a sweet note.
