Q:

The four courses being offered in this Groupon are somewhat unclear. My specific question is whether Adobe Lightroom is one of the available courses with this Groupon.

Ira R.  asked on  Dec 14, 2012

A:

As noted on the deal page, you can choose from "digital photography, Photoshop, Web Animation (Flash), or Web Development (Dreamweaver)." Lightroom is not one of the valid courses.

Q:

What about the camera we have? will they work with that? I just bought a new one and it's the one I'll be using; can they help me do what they're teaching with it. It's a Nikon s810 (that may not be exact). It's 16 mpxl and has a 26x zoom. Also, do you know what those programs run to purchase? I guess I can look that up. Any discount with the class on the programs?

Lynda S.  asked on  Dec 13, 2012

A:

The camera best suited for this course is either a DSLR or Point-Shoot Camera with manual controls (Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, Manual and Program Mode). These settings give you the ability to control your exposures.

Q:

The course description says it's online or in-class. Is that true of the groupon, or is the groupon just on-line?

Beverly A.  asked on  Dec 12, 2012

A:

This Groupon is online only. Sorry for the confusion.

Q:

How long are the reference materials available to students after completion of the course? For instance, if someone needed to refresh their memory on something a year later would they still have access to their training materials?

Ange J.  asked on  Dec 12, 2012

A:

All of their courses are strictly online. The courses can be completed at your own pace and the modules are accessible for a year from the date of registration. There is no set time to be online, and you can complete the course at the convenience of your own schedule. I hope this helps!

Q:

Can the groupon be used for other courses such as Lightroom and MS office, or does it have to be the four you have listed?

Andrea C.  asked on  Dec 11, 2012

A:

The Groupon is only good for the value and services offered and cannot be altered or substituted in anyway. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Q:

Do these courses include access to the various photography software?

Roxanne M.  asked on  Dec 11, 2012

A:

Yes! You will receive trail versions of the software. The trial version is valid for 30 days, and is fully functional. If you intend on taking longer then 30 days to complete the course, you would need to secure the software independently after this period.

Q:

I'd love to see testimonials of those who completed this course as to ease of learning, retention, direct applicaiton. Also is there such a thing as accreditation for such courses? Thanks, Ellen

Ellen W.  asked on  Dec 11, 2012

A:

"For more information, please click here.

There are several certification options available for students who complete the course. They offer a certification directly through their institute. In addition, students can opt to complete the ACA (Adobe Certified Associate) and ACE (Adobe Certified Expert) certifications. For more information on each certification, please email Photo Art Studio at info@photoartstudio.ca."
