Q:

On Groupon it says "The Adobe- and Microsoft-certified instructors at Photo Art Studio prepare pupils for careers in graphic design, web development, and photography during 14-hour certification programs that combine classroom and online learning." What part of the classes are in the classroom and where??

Macquin B.  asked on  Dec 13, 2012

A:

Sorry for the confusion! This Groupon is for their online classes, rather than their in-class options. The courses are taught and completed online, and you will not meet in a classroom for any portion of the training.

Q:

I bought an Nikon digital SLR and am interested in the digital photography course. Will this course offer any specific instructions on the Nikon? Is there any software for the digital software course? What exactly will be taught in this course?

Patrick C.  asked on  Dec 12, 2012

A:

The camera best suited for this course is either a DSLR or Point-Shoot Camera with manual controls (Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, Manual and Program Mode). They provide a link to a 30 day trial version of any software that they teach. For the complete course outline for the Digital Photography class, please click here.

Q:

Is it possible to get your certification as a trial user WITHOUT buying the full version?

leslie y.  asked on  Dec 12, 2012

A:

Yes, but keep in mind that the trial software is only accessible for 30 days from the time you download it. The course and training are available for a full year, but if you plan to take longer than 30 days to complete the course, you would need to purchase the software once the trial software has expired. Each course includes 14 hours of training.

You will need to purchase a separate Groupon for each person.

Q:

I want to buy this Groupon but in 3 months I will move to Europe. Can I still use and attend the online classes? Can I still get the certification or is it strictly for people being physically in the US?

DIMITRA R.  asked on  Dec 12, 2012

A:

Since courses are completed online, you can definitely redeem the Groupon and use the course from any computer that has an internet connection. Anyone who completes the course or courses will receive certification, even if you're outside the US.

Q:

exactly what do you mean by 'the trial version expires in 30 days' when another line in the ad says expires in 1 year from activation...what do you mean? you have 30 days to activate and one year to finish the course, or do you have 30 days from activating/buying to finish the course?

laurel t.  asked on  Dec 12, 2012

A:

Sorry for the confusion. The actual courses just need to be activated by 6/12/13, and you'll have 1 year from activation to complete the courses. That being said, each course also includes trial versions of the Adobe software you'll be using. Adobe software trials are only valid for 30 days from the date you download them.
