Q:

WIll there be tutorials that I can save or print to go back and look at if I have questions after finishing course?

Cheryl T.  asked on  Dec 12, 2012

A:

All of their courses are strictly online. The courses can be completed at your own pace and the modules are accessible for a year from the date of registration. There is no set time to be online, and you can complete the course at the convenience of your own schedule.

Q:

Hi, it says, a full trial version of the software. Does that mean that we only get a trial version and then have to buy the full version for the class? Is there any hidden costs other than the Groupon price? Thanks, Randy

Randy B.  asked on  Dec 12, 2012

A:

Hi Randy! The trial version is valid for 30 days, and is fully functional. If you intend on taking longer then 30 days to complete the course, you would need to secure the software independently after this period.

Q:

1. do you have video samples so that I can see if your teaching style matches my learning style 2. Which cameras you use for the photography class - I use Canon - do not like generalizations - prefer specific than general. 3. what are the qualifications of those teaching the classes?

Barbara .  asked on  Dec 11, 2012

A:

Hey Barbara! Photo Art Studio consists of a team of highly skilled instructors in various sectors including Graphic Design, Web Development, Photography, Office Administration and Marketing. All of our instructors are either Adobe and/or Microsoft certified with several years of work experience. This ensures all our students receive the most thorough training during and after the in-class sessions.

Their staff takes great care in preparing course materials to ensure effective comprehension of key concepts among students. All classes are designed to deliver a unique hands-on training experience, while maintaining an optimal balance between application and theoretical knowledge.

While there aren't online demonstrations of the lessons available, I would recommend contacting the business directly to ensure they can meet your needs! Just call 647-784-0654 or 647-367-0584.

What I want to know is that are you also giving us free Certifications from Adobe and PPCC? In short, am I paying $180 exam fee to Adobe and $100 to PPCC or are all those covered by you? Please reply so that I can purchase this. Thanks

Q:

I'm getting ready to purchase both a camera that is beyond point and shoot and a MAC computer. A BIG learning curve for me. I'm unclear about the offer in that the expiration is in June. Does this mean that the course is self-paced and material will no longer be available after that date? Also, any recommendations for a camera that is beyond a point and shoot? I've seen that there is a lens that does the work of 2 lenses - one for close up shots and another for far away shots. I'd prefer to NOT have to take the lens on and off. What is your recommendation? I would appreciate and advice you could give. Thank you. One more thing - the software for the Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, DIgital photography - does it expire when the course material is no longer available.? Thanks again.

Mary Kaye W.  asked on  Dec 11, 2012

A:

Sorry for any confusion, Mary. These courses are redeemed entirely online, so as long as you activate by the promotional expiration date (June 12, 2013), you will have one full year from your activate date to enjoy your classes online. You are able to move at the speed that works best for you 24/7.

Also, you would be able to redeem the the digital photography course with either a DSLR or point-and-shoot camera. To learn more about that course, please click here.

Q:

My daughter is 14 and is very interested in photography. Is this something that would be appropriate for her?

Tina Z.  asked on  Dec 11, 2012

A:

Hello, Thank you for your interest in our courses. There is no age restriction on the courses, and the level of comprehension all depends on the individual. We have had some students, 15-16 years of age, complete the courses with no problem. Hope this helps. Q:

I have Photo Shop Elements 8, will this work for the Adobe class that is offered?

Jackie  asked on  Dec 11, 2012

A:

Hello, Thank you for your interest in our courses. Photoshop Elements is somewhat limited in functionality when compared to the CS versions. We would suggest downloading the appropriate software (Adobe Photoshop CS 6 Extended), and using it for the course. You can then transfer your skills over to a more simplistic software such as Elements. The interface is nearly identical. However Elements lacks certain functions that are available on CS. Hope this helps. Warm Regards, [Support] Photo Art Studio E: info@photoartstudio.ca W: http://www.photoartstudio.ca
