More Questions and Answers

Q:

I am VERY interested in learning all of the above mentioned. I am a struggling artist and would like to aquire more skills to utilize my artistic ability and to open up some doors to make money while doing so. I have never had any formal photography classes (although I do have a very good eye ). What would I have to purchase in the form of equiptment and softwear to be able to take this course? How much $ approximatly would that take? All that I have now is a basic Sony Cyber-shot camera 8.1 mega pixels. My computer is very old and does not have the ability to do much. (same with me:) Like I said, I have an excellent "eye" for composition and such, however I have not done much with the computer at all, and I am certain do not have any of the (even basic) upgrades I would need. Please advise.

Diane G.  asked on  Dec 12, 2012

A:

Thanks for your interest! If you're planning to take the Digital Photography course, the camera best suited for this course is either a DSLR or Point-Shoot Camera with manual controls (Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, Manual and Program Mode). These settings give you the ability to control your exposures.

Each course includes a full trial version of the software needed for each class. The trial version is valid for 30 days, and is fully functional. If you intend on taking longer then 30 days to complete the course or wish to use the software after completing the course, you would need to secure the software independently after this period.

Q:

What if I am working on more than one computer? will I need to buy more than one package?

Baarbara W.  asked on  Dec 12, 2012

A:

The course is taken online through the Photo Art Studio website, so you can log on and review the material from any computer that has an internet connection. That being said, you will need to complete your assignments on computers that have the software for your particular course. Each course includes a full trial version of the software for each class.

I would like to 1) learn more on how to use my A 350 Sony 35 mm digital camera, 2) Learn how to use Photoshop and 3) I have a photo shop suite that I have never used because I do not know how to use it, so should I purchase all 4 certificates, or what classes should I take?

It sounds like you'll want to purchase the $59 Groupon for two courses. You'll want to take the digital photography course and the Photoshop course.
