Q:

I do not have much experience in Photoshop but received Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 with Adobe Premiere Elements 10 as a gift. Will the Adobe certification class be consistant with that version and can I use that software instead of the trial version offered to complete this class.

Mike M.  asked on  Feb 13, 2013

A:

The courses are designed for any version of Photoshop above CS 4. Elements is limited in functionality when compared to the CS versions. They suggest downloading the trial software and using it for the course. Once you are familiar with CS 4 or higher you can very easily transfer your skills over to Elements.

Q:

Will course completion give me the ACE (Adobe Certified Expert) qualification? Is it compatible/recognized by Adobe?

Rebecca U.  asked on  Feb 13, 2013

A:

This is a certification course and is especially suitable for those wishing to obtain either the CPP (Certified Professional Photographer), ACE (Adobe Certified Expert) or ACA (Adobe Certified Associate) Designations. Once all of the course modules have been completed and you have successfully completed the necessary assignments, you will receive a Professional Development certification from our institute. For a list of their certifications please click here.

Beyond that, if you wish to obtain the ACE, CPP, or ACA they offer assistance in scheduling an exam at one of the world wide registered Adobe Exam Centers (Exams are administered through Pearson VUE).

Q:

Is this course a set time or can we log into the classwork at any time. What kind of camera do we need to have in order to benefit from this Photography class.

Kathleen S.  asked on  Feb 11, 2013

A:

Hello there, Thank you for your inquiry and interest in our courses. These courses are self-paced and students have unlimited access to all course modules for one year. The camera best suited for this course is a DSLR or Point-Shoot with manual controls. For example Manual Mode, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority and Program mode. Certain point-shoots do not allow for manual control so you are a bit limited. In this case you would benefit more from the theory then practical application. Hope this helps, please feel free to contact us if you require any additional information. Warm Regards, [Support} Photo Art Studio E: info@photoartstudio.ca W: http://www.photoartstudio.ca
