Q:

What type of camera do I need? I have a canon rebel t3, I only have the stock lens, and a pancake lense. I also do not have any attachable flashses, would I be able to do this photography class with what I have?

michele o.  asked on  Feb 13, 2013

A:

The camera best suited for this course is either a DSLR or Point-Shoot Camera with manual controls (Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, Manual and Program Mode). These settings give you the ability to control your exposures. Thank you for writing, Michele.

Q:

How long has this class been available? Do you have any reviews available to scrutinize, or any former students willing to act as references? Also, is this class basically an introduction to the potentials of the software you utilize, or will I actually be able to learn & apply predefined techniques to my own work? Thanks! Sandy

Sandy D.  asked on  Feb 12, 2013

A:

Hello, Sandy. This class has been available for purchase since February 12th. It appears the company's website has been active since 2011. We do not have any references, however we review the companies we feature by checking places such as Rip Off Report and the BBB for any negative ratings. We also check Yelp, CitySearch, and local media for user and editorial reviews. And sometimes, we take a chance on new businesses because we simply like the concept and have established a good working relationship with the business owner.

For certification information, please click here.

There are several certification options available for students who complete the course. They offer a certification directly through their institute. In addition, students can opt to complete the ACA (Adobe Certified Associate) and ACE (Adobe Certified Expert) certifications. For more information on each certification, please email Photo Art Studio at info@photoartstudio.ca. I hope this helps!
