A young man and a not-so-young city both grow by leaps and bounds (sometimes quite literally) in the movement-infused production Life in Trouble. Blending comedy, drama, video and dance, Life in Trouble follows one talented youth as he tries, despite difficult circumstances and cultural perceptions, to become a professional artist. Meanwhile, the Bay Area changes along with him, as rents rise, neighborhoods gentrify and racial tensions flare. Creator and choreographer Brian Gibbs has brought together a wide spectrum of performers, including sketch comedy group Mission CTRL, professional dancers and other guests, to bring this unique, multimedia work to vibrant life at PianoFight.
