Even though they lose each year's Revolutionary War re-creation, the British maintain at least one outpost in the Eastern Standard time zone. Visit Cleveland’s Little England with today’s Groupon, which gets you $15 worth of healthy lunch fare for $7 at Picc-A-Deli Café in Westlake. This Groupon is good for dine-in or takeaway (that's carryout in English).
Riffing on its original King James location, Picc-A-Deli’s friendly owners combine an appreciation for English charm with a menu that serves up a plethora of freshly made, creative breakfast and lunchables, including a dozen specialty sandwiches. Find deli favorites reborn with the finest ingredients and whimsical English names like the Henry the Eighth I Ham I Ham ($5.95) with shaved maple ham, Swiss cheese, English cucumber, and brown mustard on rye bread. Picc-A-Deli’s international wraps bring flavors from the more olive-centric portions of Europe, such as the Italian chicken Capri ($6.45) with pesto mayonnaise and sun-dried tomatoes, or the Mediterranean veggie ($5.95) with cucumber and avocado dressing ladled over a Roman garden. Nutrition also abounds in salads such as the $6.75 chef, Greek chicken, or chicken Caesar. The “You Picc-We Toss” option lets you choose from the three lettuces and more than 20 healthy toppings, including broccoli, kalamata olives, red onion, and more. Salad dressings come in fat-free options, and extras include meats and eggs. All Picc-A-Deli soups ($3.95 a bowl or $2.95 a cup) are made from scratch each jour, including the chicken noodle or rice, an international option, and that quintessentially Yankee meal-in-a-bowl, chili ($4.95 large, $3.95 small) with real Angus beef.
Replete with a jumbo-size London Tube map, plenty of Union Jacks, and the aroma of baking scones, Picc-A-Deli's atmosphere might cause you to drive the rest of the way to work on the left side of the road (Note: Groupon does not recommend driving on the left side of the road, even though it cuts one's commute in half, provides a nice change of pace, and looks really cool when done correctly). The café also boasts more green, leafy things than Kew Gardens. Get to Picc-A-Deli for an early breakfast and watch the sun rise over the British Empire with today's Groupon.
Because it runs on Greenwich Mean Time, Picc-A-Deli closes at 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Closed on Sunday.
