About Uncle Bud's Pikes Peak Tattoo
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Uncle Bud Yates the founder of this company, unfortunately passed away in 2006 and his wife Brinda took over the studio. We were the first to make the State of Colorado aware that there needed to be regulations for this industry. So starting in 1985 working through until 2000, the State finally implemented the Body Art Act.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
This business started in 1982 under Pikes Peak Tattoo, after breaking away from Snakes Tattoo which was Uncle Buds brother. Tattooing was a part of the Yates family, the males in particular. So what else was a Yates man suppose to do?
What do you love most about your job?
I love the customers and the family environment we have managed to keep throughout the years, starting when Uncle Bud ran the studio through today! We host a family environment (that is only if your children are well behaved.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
Our clients are very satisfied with all the services we offer and keep coming back. I think the best reaction I personally had was when one of my clients actually cried and told me I gave her back something that she never thought she would get back. We do perform all of our services with hospital-grade sterilization techniques, as well as using one time use items that are disposable.
