Q:

Once I book my first session, when do the remaining classes expire? If, for instance, I buy a 5 pack and book my first session, do I have until Jan 2 to use up the other 4 classes?

Lola P.  asked on  Jun 26, 2012

A:

Hey there, Lola! Sorry for the delayed response. Your question had us curious-- the time restrictions for each package should have been clearly stated in The Fine Print, so we took a look for ourselves. Lo and behold, Groupon forgot to include it in there! UH OH! :( So we gave them a call, and the corrected Fine Print will be updated shortly--the 5-Pack must be used within a 25-day period, the 10-Pack has a 50-day period, and with either package your first class must be attended by 1/2/13. If you already bought the package before Groupon corrected their mistake, they will be contacting you with this info directly, and will of course offer a refund if the time restriction doesn't work for your schedule. Hope to see you in the studio, Lola!

Q:

I have RA, and a 7 level spinal fusion with rods in my back. I know it sounds awful, but I can exercise, just can't bend at the waist, and have little movement in my left hip. I can't do lunges, but is this class something that might work for me? I try to do core work as much as possible, and have been taking barre exercise classes. Please advise. Thanks, Ellen

Ellen P.  asked on  Jun 26, 2012

A:

Thank you for your question, Ellen. We admire your commitment and tenacity! We've had a couple of past RA clients that have given our group classes a try. Honestly, it proved to be too much. One of them opted for Private Sessions, and it worked quite well for her! The group classes move quickly, and because our workouts are full-body training, it would not be entirely useful to you. It's not at all that our SPX method would not benefit you or that it would be too hard for you, because it would benefit you and we're sure you could handle it! :) We simply feel it would be safer and you'd be better served by one-on-one instruction, where your trainer could accommodate all of the modifications to the exercises and routines that your RA demands. We'd be happy to get you started-- just give us a call at 310.694.8585 if you ever feel like giving it a shot!
