What You'll Get
Though many people associate pool sharks with the murky depths beneath the diving board, the original sharp-toothed tricksters were actually masters of billiards. With today's deal, you might just spot one in its native habitat: for $13, you get two hours of pool and $20 worth of snacks and drinks at Pink Galleon Billiards & Games (a $39 value). Your Groupon is good for Pink Galleon's South County, Creve Coeur, and Cape Girardeau locations. Pool is free Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and all day on Wednesdays, so make the most of your Groupon with a late-night table or a weekend outing with friends. Groupon buyers also may schedule a free group party package good for 15 people or more, which includes unlimited pool and a free alcoholic drink per person. Parties must be scheduled in advance.
Unlike the poolrooms of old, which required a skilled artisan to cut and paint new billiard balls after every game, each of Pink Galleon's locations offers modern conveniences such as flat-screen televisions, air hockey tables, and chicken-strip technology. Amidst underwater murals at the Creve Coeur location, a giant shark swims over the pool tables with an eight ball in its menacing mouth. Though not all locations offer a giant shark, each of Pink Galleon's cue-sports centers offers a full bar and tons of snacks, such as breaded inferno wings ($4.75), mozzarella sticks ($4.75), a chicken strips basket ($5.45), or a 12-inch deluxe pizza (with ham, sausage, pepperoni, and green peppers, $7.80). Every location shows UFC fights on multiple flat-screen televisions, so you'll have enough entertainment without bare-knuckle boxing your companion in his handlebar moustache and breaking a monocle. If two hours of pocket billiards and a bacon cheeseburger ($5) whet your appetite for more, Pink Galleon offers tons of arcade games, air hockey, ping-pong, darts, and more (not included in the Groupon deal).
Psychologists assert that playing pool is a useful barometer for measuring a person's way of approaching life, work, and love. If your crush spends more than four minutes setting up a shot, it may mean you need to make the first move. Bring job applicants in for a few games to see if they'll rely on an offered bridge when the necessary shot is a far reach. If they hustle you for all you're worth, hire them on the spot.
The Riverfront Times named the Pink Galleon in South County the best neighborhood bar in 2010 and the Creve Coeur location the best place for pool in 2006. Eight Yelpers give the Creve Coeur location four stars, and one Citysearcher gives the South County location five.
- It's tough to find comfort and nostalgia in a place that's squeaky-clean and relentlessly modern. So follow the siren song of the (painted) bare-breasted mermaids to the Pink Galleon and throw back some drinks like it's 1987. – Riverfront Times
- The Pink Galleon is a great place in STL to play games with friends, imbibe some sweet adult beverages, and perhaps have a snack… – Jennifer H., Yelp

About Pink Galleon Billiards and Games
At Pink Galleon Billiards and Games, dozens of hot-pink pool tables make up just part of a colorful and enticing backdrop. Beach-themed decor abounds, and life-size airbrushed murals of pirates, mermaids, and nautical displays sprawl out across the walls. Since the first cue ball was hit in 1993, Pink Galleon Billiards and Games has expanded to two locations spread throughout the Saint Louis area. In addition to pool, Pink Galleon blitzes boredom with ping-pong, foosball, unlimited thumb wars, and arcade games. The family-owned business also boasts a menu of finger-friendly eats, ice-cold beers, and mixed drinks, all of which helped its South County location earn the title of Best Neighborhood Bar in South County from the Riverfront Times.
