Director David Nash parlays his knowledge of physical health into workout sessions that demolish calories in just 60 minutes. Inside Pinnacle Fitness Bootcamp's spacious studio, bodies backdropped by cheerful yellow walls fight their way through always-changing exercise regimens that typically include some combination of squats, planks, lunges, push-ups, crunches, and regretting wearing a turtleneck sweater. Sessions are held five days a week, with childcare ($5/first child; $3/additional child) available when the sun dips in the sky during the Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evening classes. Classes generally host 8–20 athletic-minded future karaoke accomplices.
Though additional services are not included with this Groupon, Nash also offers customized nutritional plans ($175 for boot-camp participants) to bolster exercise routines. The plans are tailored based on each individual's assessed metabolism of proteins, carbs, fats, and shellacked desserts.
Pinnacle Fitness Center
Since 2000, Pinnacle Fitness Center owner David Nash has been fine-tuning his fitness-coaching expertise along with a trained staff. In addition to picking up certifications in health and physical education, nutrition, first aid, and other areas, the certified personal trainer has also honed specialties in athletic performance and the biomechanics of human movement. Rae Stampley, head trainer at the Smyrna location, draws from a background of playing competitive sports and teaching health and physical education and is currently an A.C.E. certified personal trainer.
At Pinnacle Fitness Center, the staff shares its fitness training and nutritional-guidance expertise with students during fitness classes. During classes, students go through a variety of workouts from walking lunges to relay races and partner team pushups.
