About Pivot Dance School
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? Rebecca Pollard, Director of Pivot Dance School, holds 2+ decades of dance teaching knowledge. In addition to breaking down dance patterns as most schools do, we also focus on intricate maneuvers and subtle details to expand and develop skills across our 3 key pillars: Musicality, Connection & Control.
Additionally, we like to talk about dance music history during our classes.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business? Rebecca had a long history of dance having performed and competed across the globe and taught nationally and internationally. After consistent encouragement from dancers and our students to open our own school, we launched Pivot Dance School.
What do you love most about your job? Helping people grow their confidence and self-esteem and growing a healthy and encouraging community where people feel welcome and safe.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer? The best reaction I've received was from one of my students when she begun to cry after a performance with tears of joy. She'd finally overcame some of her insecurities and was so thankful!
