What You'll Get
Scientists envision a future where crust scraps will be used to fuel Americans’ insatiable desire for fuel made out of crust scraps. Today's Groupon helps pass the time with $25 worth of cheese-spackled, toppings-topped, and earth-friendly mealpies for $10 at Pizza Fusion, an eco-conscious pizzeria. This Groupon is valid for redemption at Pizza Fusion's Orlando location.
Pizza Fusion delivers pies in hybrid vehicles, uses eco-friendly cleaning products, gives discounts for recycled pizza boxes, donates to environmental causes, and uses utensils made from potatoes. Its planned moon base will have a limited delivery range but will be 100% carbon neutral.
Make your food selection by first selecting your crust (original organic white, multigrain, or gluten free, which is only available in personal or large) and size (personal, large, or extra large). Pizza Fusion's extensive list of creative specialty pies includes options for vegans, vegetarians, and meat lovers. Load up on dairy with the four cheese and sun-dried tomato, a melted lactose-fest of goat cheese, mozzarella, provolone, and parmesan ($11 for personal, $24 for extra large). Carnivores will appreciate the barbecue-chicken pizza, a circular way to enjoy free-range chicken slathered in barbecue sauce with roasted red onion, garlic, basil, and cheese ($11 for personal, $24 for extra large). Fans of vegetables can sink their teeth into the farmer's-market pizza, an edible crust-plate piled with artichokes, red onions, roasted zucchini, and roasted portobellos ($10 personal, $22 extra large). Vegans can test out the very vegan, topped with crimini mushrooms, roasted garlic, tomato sauce, and soy vegan cheese ($10 for personal, $23 for extra large).
Pizza Fusion applies its same eco-beliefs to sandwiches ($9–$10), salads and starters ($4.75–$12), and a modest selection of desserts ($3–$4). Plus, it serves all-natural soft drinks, as well as optional organic beer and wine.
Dine-in and carryout only.
Food & Drink, Nation’s Restaurant News, and Entrepreneur have all spilled ink on the Pizza Fusion franchise. The Miami Herald highly recommends it, Yelpers give the Orlando branch 3.5 stars, and 84% of Urbanspooners like it.
- The unusual rectangular pizzas cooked in a soapstone rotating gas oven are tasty, crisp and delicious -- more like a cracker than a bread lovers' pizza. This pleasant spot where nearly 80 percent of ingredients are organic and much is local is just the ticket for vegans, the eco-conscious and those who avoid gluten or dairy. – Victoria Pesce Elliott, Miami Herald
- Pizza is gluten-free and absolutely delicious. Staff is always helpful and nice. They have a pretty good list of organic wine and organic beer to choose from... – Shivon Ria-Michelle Acosta, Urbanspoon
