Pizza Pie Cafe is famous for its slow-rise pizza dough, which steadily bakes into a rich and chewy crust. It's fitting, then, that the Cafe itself experienced a similar slow rise into the chewy multi-state venture it is today. The origins of the company go all the way back to when its founder, Matt, was just a teenager. He teamed up then with his father to open a pizzeria inside a renovated home in Delta, Utah, laying the groundwork for the pizza-making passion that would blossom into Pizza Pie Cafe's BYU-Idaho campus.

Today, Matt and his wife, Jane, have Pizza Pie Cafe locations peppered across Arizona, Utah, and Idaho. Inside each, customers eat their way through a buffet loaded with specialty pies such as The Firefighter, which comes blazing hot with garlic chicken, pepperoni, and jalapeños. But the menu doesn't stop at pizza: it also features build-your-own salads and pastas, plus five pizza-like desserts topped with everything from peach cobbler and cookie dough to Oreo crumbs.
