About Pizza Studio

When Samit Varma was growing up in New York, his mom used to make big batches of pizza dough. His siblings and other neighborhood kids would gather in the kitchen, where Samit's mom would cut off a small piece of dough for each child, which they could roll out and top with whatever they liked.

It was this memory that stood out when Samit had the opportunity to start his own business. At Pizza Studio, guests choose all of the ingredients for their 11-inch pizzas—from sauces such as basil pesto, to crusts such as rosemary herb. Cheeses such as feta and grated Saputo mozzarella come next, followed by unlimited toppings.

Guests enjoy their meals in dining rooms with Starving Artist walls, which display and sell works from local artists. (Pizza Studio forgoes commission fees when something sells.) With the help of partners at Feeding America, the restaurant also plays a role in fighting hunger by donating a free meal for every 20 points earned on its loyalty card.
