Like camped out Boy Scouts, tacos snuggle up tight in tortilla sleeping bags and evoke outrage when bears steal and devour them. Be prepared with today's Groupon for Plancha Tacos in West Hollywood. Choose between two options.
- For $5, you get $10 worth of tacos, drinks, and more.
- For $49, you get a party package to feed about 20 people, including 40 Street Tacos, a rice tray, a bean tray, chips, two pints of salsa, and salad (a $133.60 value).
Open daily from 8 a.m. until midnight or later, Plancha Tacos nourishes burrito breakfasters and late night bar crawlers with a menu of Mexican favorites made with healthy ingredients. A creamy 50/50 blend of pinto and black beans tops off staples like the Jimmy Burrito ($6.99), also available as a low-carb bowl. The carb-and-calorie conscious can also replace tortillas with fresh butter lettuce cups, and can rest healthy in the knowledge that Plancha never prepares food using lard, MSG, or goat tranquilizers.
Plancha Tacos has a four-star average from hungry Yelpers:
- They were so flavorful, the chicken was juicy, and the veggies were crisp and fresh. Yummmm. The red hot sauce is scalding hot, but in a good way if you can handle it. My friend, who can pack food away like a camel packs away water, couldn't finish the taco plate he ordered, but laid back on the couch with a smile and went into a food coma. It was a historic event. I will be back for sure. :) – Angel T.
- This place is awesome! Had the fajita burrito, Jimmy taco, and all the street tacos. The guac was AMAZING ( it was so yummy I had to get some to go after I was done with my lunch & I ate it ALL on the ride home!) If you want something to wash down the yummy food with you have to get a bottle of COKE in the glass bottles that are imported from Mexico! Which taste so much better then the COKE we get in the USA because they use cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. – Eryn L.
"Tacos are universal," proclaims a video on Plancha Tacos' website. "Everybody loves them." That's why Plancha Tacos makes a taco for everybody, whether they prefer a soft or crispy shell made from a corn or flour tortilla or a low-carb wrapper of fresh butter lettuce. Diners can customize their meals with fillings ranging from grilled steak to beer-battered fish, or go with sizzling veggies for a zestier vegetarian treat than a steamy bowl of hot sauce. They can also dig into other twists on Mexican classics including shredded chicken fajitas, garlic shrimp burritos, and grilled tilapia salads.
