What You'll Get
Well-rounded golfers must master a variety of skills, including driving, reverse-putting, and suppressing the part of the brain that associates high scores with victory. Chip away at preconceived notions with today’s Groupon to The Plantation Course at Edisto in Edisto Beach. Choose between the following options:
- For $59, you get an 18-hole round of golf for two including cart rental (up to a $118 value).

- For $99, you get an 18-hole round of golf for four including cart rental (up to a $236 value).

Secluded in the tranquil, coastal Low Country of Edisto Island, The Plantation Course at Edisto’s 6,130-yard layout seamlessly entwines pristine fairways, towering arbors, and 30 acres of manmade lakes. The course opened to considerable fanfare in 1973, when an on-course helicopter landing brought golf masters Sam Snead and Bob Goalby to christen the newborn links by playing a polo-golf hybrid from the comfort of their helicopters. Nowadays, players can loop the elysian course astride a nimble golf cart, which helps track down any balls not submerged in a water hazard or snagged by one of the alligators that peacefully occupy the course. Water looms ominously on all but four holes, forming one treacherous island green and two holes in which the entire fairway is ensconced by water on both sides. Begin mentally preparing for the round by reading The Art of War to your nine-iron or by taking an online tour of the front and back nines.
